Become A Range Master
Element: BB and ARCHERY
National Standards for Cub Scout Day Camp requires that the BB and Archery Programs be conducted in a safe manner by ADULT qualified, trained and certified instructors and range officers.
The Sam Houston Area Council will conduct dual-certification training for ADULT day camp instructors and range officers in Archery and BB guns. The course will cover safety, range layout and construction, safety, how-to-teach, safety, equipment and safety.
Participants must be present for the entire course for certification. Certification is good for two years. There will be a Hands-on” opportunity for those interested, after the training to shoot both Archery and BB guns.
There is no individual fee for the course; however, in order to have adequate supplies, handouts and equipment, participants must pre-register, we can take NO WALK-INS.

NOTE: As forms are available for MAIL REGISTRATION, they will be posted next to the appropriate class. If you would however like to let SHAC know of your desire to attend one of their offerings you can submit the form below to let them know that you will be in attendance. If you use the form below you will receive a confirmation email of your submission. If you do not receive an email confirmation from SHAC in the following 2 days; please contact SHAC offices at 713-659-8111 to ask for confirmation of your registration. Use the information sent to you from this site as your reference to the information sent.
Regardless of the method used you should be sent an email confirmation from SHAC, information sheet and directions as soon as we receive your registration.
